When Bakongo, the Afro-inspired alter ego of UK Funky pioneer Wayne Goodlitt AKA Roska, dropped his “Grind” / “Tee Oh Ell” release on Melé's label, Quadrants, last year, it soon caught the ears of Pinkturban Label Maharaja, Otm Shank. Mesmerized by the sound, Otm put on his finest kurta, donned his celebratory turban, and commissioned the massive Bakongo remix of his track "Bounce." Now, Bakongo returns to the LA-based label with two dazzlingly pristine Afro-saturated club tracks, "Awe" and "Bout It," that blur UK/US Bass boundaries and showcase Wayne’s second-to-none production powers.
