Nestled among the towering cedars and scrubby undergrowth of Vancouver's Westside, the four members of Broken By Fire have been busy tilling the fertile soils of their sonic garden to yield their self-titled EP. What originally began as a casual recording project between friends has quickly ripened into an aural mosaic of unique songs that is as dynamic and diverse as the individual ethnicities, life experiences and musical influences of the band members themselves.

The album is a strangely cohesive, stylistic and trans-genre voyage that was co-produced, mixed and engineered by recent Nimbus graduate (and student of Garth Richardson's), Braden Kwasnicia. It is a small taste of a broader collection of recordings that will constitute the band's eagerly anticipated, upcoming full length release.
