Fear is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1977, and credited for influencing the American punk rock movement. The band has continued to be active, most recently with the release of The FEAR Record, which will be supported by performances worldwide. Since Fear began recording in 1979, bands such as A Perfect Circle, Soundgarden, Megadeth, Sacred Reich and Guns N' Roses have covered their songs.
A new collaboration with Lee Ving and the Foo Fighters called the Sound City Players is also slated for fall release.
