Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Iris DeMent's My Life returns fully remastered and ready to attract a whole new generation of fans. Guests include "Cowboy" Jack Clement, Joy White, and Robin and Linda Williams.

My Life, the sophomore album from Americana trailblazer Iris DeMent, solidified her reputation as one of the nation's most remarkable songwriters. Dedicated to her father who had passed away in 1992, this album showcases DeMent's exceptional songwriting skills on tracks like "Sweet Is the Melody," "No Time to Cry," and the title track. The songs, described as "jewels of universal longing" by the Chicago Tribune, are celebrated for their profound beauty, with AllMusic stating, "it is nearly impossible to exaggerate the beauty of these recordings."

Now, for its 30th anniversary the Grammy-nominated album is being officially reissued for the first time, remastered by Mike Westbrook of MW Audio. Rolling Stone praised DeMent’s "soul-on-the-sleeve sincerity and thick Ozark Mountains accent," attributes that have made her a beloved figure among folk music peers like John Prine and Nanci Griffith. Meanwhile, My Life was ranked the third best album of that year by SPIN where Eric Weisbard described it as featuring "...unbreakable gentleness as a modern epiphany about rural values."

The album includes contributions from notable guests such as "Cowboy" Jack Clement, Joy White, and Robin and Linda Williams, further enhancing its rich, authentic sound.
