Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers stay ahead of the pack on Can’t Outrun A Memory, an album that resonates with pure, unbridled energy and the spirit of a true rock 'n' roll journeyman.

Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers return with Can’t Outrun A Memory, their first album of new material in seven year. Featuring 13 Grushecky originals and a blistering cover of the Animals' classic "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place," the album delivers 17 tracks of pure, unadulterated rock 'n' roll. Available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats, Can’t Outrun A Memory reaffirms that Grushecky and his band can still deliver the driving, energetic music they've honed over decades.

Closing in on five decades, Joe Grushecky's journey from a coal mining town to the heart of rock 'n' roll is a testament to his enduring passion and talent. Inspired by the Beatles' iconic Ed Sullivan Show appearance, Grushecky picked up a guitar and set his sights on a future in music. By day, he pursued a career as a Special Education educator, but by night, he led the Iron City Houserockers, a band that would become a cornerstone of Pittsburgh's rock scene.

Signed to Cleveland International, home of Meat Loaf and Ronnie Spector, the Houserockers embarked on a musical fairy tale that spanned decades and crossed labels. Collaborations with heroes like Ian Hunter, Mick Ronson, Little Steven Van Zandt, and Bruce Springsteen both enriched their sound and etched their niche in rock history.

As they hit the road to support the album, fans again have the chance to witness firsthand the power and vitality that define Grushecky's live performances. Whether experienced on stage or blasting out of the speakers at home, Can’t Outrun A Memory is another fine Grushecky contribution to rock music.
