Kyle Daniel's Kentucky Gold is a celebration filled with anthems and odes to the journey, the music, and the unyielding spirit that is southern rock. Guests include the Cadillac Three and Maggie Rose.
With a double-barrel blast of classic southern rock and modern country, Kyle Daniel is the embodiment of blue-collar music, perfect for rock clubs, honky-tonks, and every stage in between. As a guitar player, storyteller, and songwriter, Daniel has built his following the old-school way: hitting the highways year after year, playing everywhere from Tennessee dive bars to the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, major UK and European festivals like The Long Road and C2C in Berlin, and anywhere else that’ll have him.
His latest release, Kentucky Gold, produced by a trio of music heavyweights - The Cadillac Three’s Jaren Johnston, The Lone Bellow’s Brian Elmquist, and Canadian multi-instrumentalist Mike Krompass - shines as brightly as the precious metal in its name. The album carves its own path through Muscle Shoals soul, Nashville twang, and bluesy boogie-woogie, all powered by the raw muscle of Daniel’s electric guitar.
The guest list for Kentucky Gold is as diverse as its musical influences. The Cadillac Three, Kendell Marvel, Sarah Zimmermann of Striking Matches, and Maggie Rose all make appearances, while co-writing credits include friends like Will Hoge and Clay Mills. The hard-rocking "Can’t Hold Me Back," co-written and produced by Krompass, is probably the best example of Daniel's unrepentant, gritty style.
