LL Cool J returns like a lyrical jedi with a vengeance and ignites a new era of hip-hop on The FORCE. Guests include Nas, Eminem, Saweetie, and more.

LL Cool J is back, and he's bringing the fire as always on his 14th album, The FORCE. Featuring a star-studded lineup that includes Nas, Eminem, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Saweetie, Snoop Dogg, and more, this 14-track record is a powerful testament to the enduring influence of one of hip-hop’s most iconic figures. The album’s title, The FORCE - an acronym for Frequencies of Real Creative Energy - perfectly captures the feeling of intensity and passion found within the grooves.

The album was produced entirely by A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip, who helped LL tap into a fresh, revitalized sound. For the legendary rapper though, this couldn’t be just another album, it had to be a rebirth. “It’s like learning how to rap again,” he confesses, comparing the experience to a blockbuster director returning to film school or Denzel Washington heading back to acting class. With The FORCE, he isn’t just throwing out raps, he’s rekindling his creative fire with an album that feels important and urgent.

“We’re talking 14 tracks of straight fire, all crafted by myself and the one and only Q-Tip,” LL boasts. “When you listen to this album, you’re not just hearing music - you’re experiencing a whole new vibe, a whole new level of artistic passion.” That passion is evident in every beat, every bar, and every collaboration on the record. Take the perfectly-titled “Passion” for example, where he spits with the confidence of a veteran who’s still hungry, like he has to prove himself all over again even though he knows that we know he’s got nothing left to prove. LL's flow is razor-sharp, and his energy is undeniable, reminding us all why he became the legend he is today. “Saturday Night Special” is another banger with LL and Q-Tip teaming up with Rick Ross and Fat Joe. This ignitable combination have come up with a track that feels both classic and of the future, a nod to their roots that still pushes hip-hop forward.

LL Cool J, born James Todd Smith, has been a hip-hop legend since his debut album Radio dropped in 1985, marking the beginning of hip-hop’s “golden age.” The New York native quickly rose to fame with hits like “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” and “Rock the Bells,” solidifying his status as one of the genre’s pioneers. Over the years, he’s continued to evolve, releasing albums like Bigger And Deffer and Mama Said Knock You Out, and winning two Grammys along the way. In addition to his music career, he’s built a successful acting career, with roles in films like Any Given Sunday and a starring role on the long-running series NCIS: Los Angeles. But with The FORCE, LL Cool J proves that music remains his first true love, and he’s still one of the best to ever do it.
