“Mandolin Wind” is a stunningly beautiful musical story written by Rod Stewart that appeared on his classic 1971 LP Every Picture Tells A Story. Both the Everly Brothers and bluegrass master Earl Scruggs crafted their own covers of the tune, but thirty years have passed since any artist took up the challenge. This inspired PMN to create a contemporary arrangement and introduce more diverse instrumentation. Luke's ever-present warm and engaging lead vocal compliments stellar musicianship by Luke (fiddle), Cody Kilby (guitars/mandolin), cellist Nat Smith, John Heithaus (guitar/bass), CJ Hillman (mandolin/dobro), percussionist Pete Young and backing vocalist Miss Abby Brown.
