The Pale Emperor is a nod to Manson favorites like Tom Waits, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, Joy Division and T. Rex. In its use of space and texture, The Pale Emperor evokes shades of PJ Harvey, the Birthday Party and Bauhaus. Intimate yet epic; this Emperor embodies a purposeful paradox.
Manson also introduces his newest foil, co-producer and guitarist/bassist Tyler Bates, who is best known for film & TV scores such as 300, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Californication and many more, so it was a natural progression to the wide-screen sonic storytelling becoming the essence of The Pale Emperor.
