Nick The Knife re-established Nick as a solo artist after Rockpile’s album, Seconds Of Pleasure. Rockpile’s Terry Williams and Billy Bremner made contributions, but Nick also transitioned towards his new band, Noise To Go, by bringing back old friend Bobby Irwin, and introducing bassist James Eller and Paul Carrack. The album features Nick’s version of “Heart” (Bremner sang it on the Rockpile album) as well as pop music styles ranging from power pop to doo-wop. “My Heart Hurts” was penned with then-wife Carlene Carter. Includes demo versions of “Heart” and “Raining Raining” as well as the rarity, “I Got A Job.”
