Patriarchs In Black, the US doom metal stalwarts, have returned with their third album, Visioning. The band, featuring drummer Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative/Danzig) and guitarist Dan Lorenzo (Hades/Non-Fiction), showcase a stellar lineup of guest musicians including Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog), Karl Agell (Corrosion Of Conformity), Eric Morgan (A Pale Horse Named Death), Mark Sunshine (Riotgod), Jason McMaster (Watchtower/Dangerous Toys), and Kyle Thomas (Exhorder).

Formed in late 2021 by Kelly and Lorenzo, Patriarchs In Black quickly made their mark with their debut single "Demon of Regret" in January 2022. This was followed by their first full-length album, Reach For The Scars, in July. Their sophomore effort, My Veneration, which arrived in October of 2023, continued to build their legacy with a blend of doom and guest contributions from various vocalists and bassists.

The new album found Lorenzo crafting twelve new tracks that merge classic doom metal with modern and hardcore/crossover influences. It was then mixed and mastered by Jon Cioicari at JROD Productions, promising to deliver a powerful and fresh take on doom.

Dan Lorenzo recently shared his enthusiasm about the project: "It's so fun and not putting too much pressure on singers to come up with one or two amazing lyrics and melodies a year. I write a lot of riffs and music. Our third album came together very easily. Fun, fun, fun."
