In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, many New Orleans artists found themselves in Texas. Among those who lost homes in the 9th Ward was Sam Henry, the legendary keyboard artist, composer and arranger. He has played and recorded with many famous New Orleans Jazz and R&B greats and also lead the influential funk and soul favorite, Sam & The Soul Machine.
Together with notable New Orleans artists (including Dr. John and Cyril Neville), and new Texas friends (Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel), Sam and friends met together in Austin at Ray Benson's Bismeaux Studios and magic happened.
