Sean Chambers’ Live From Daryl’s House Club captures the blues-rock firebrand in peak form while backed by the powerhouse Savoy Brown Rhythm Section for this searing live set.

Recorded in May 2024 at the legendary venue owned by Daryl Hall, Sean Chambers’ Live From Daryl’s House Club captures the blues-rock virtuoso in peak form. Backed by the powerhouse rhythm section of Pat De Salvo and Garnet Grimm - the backbone of Savoy Brown- the album is a high-octane mix of Chambers' signature material and select tributes to the late, great Kim Simmonds.

“The band was on fire, the crowd was lively, and they made us feel right at home,” Chambers recalls. “It was an electric night full of energy for sure!” That energy is undeniable from the album’s opening notes, with blistering cuts like “Cobra” showcasing Chambers’ searing guitar work and raw, impassioned delivery.

Chambers and the Savoy Brown Rhythm Section first crossed paths at a festival in 2019, forming a natural musical bond. In 2023, after Simmonds’ passing, the three officially teamed up, with the Savoy Brown founder’s full blessing before his death. Now, as a unified trio, they carry forward both Chambers’ fiery brand of blues and the spirit of Savoy Brown’s storied legacy.

As USA TODAY put it, “Guitarist Sean Chambers achieves the distinctly American blues/soul/country/rock sound that the Stones used to aspire to long ago.” With a sound that bridges decades of blues traditions and rock swagger, Chambers has cemented himself as one of the genre’s most electrifying players.

His journey started in 1998 when he became the guitarist and bandleader for blues icon Hubert Sumlin, a role he held until 2003. It didn’t take long for folks to take notice - Guitarist later named him “One of the top 50 blues guitarists of the last century.” That level of respect continues today, with no less than Paul Rodgers praising Chambers’ work: “It is great to see an unsung guitar legend the caliber of Hubert Sumlin, who played with Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf, being celebrated by a young artist like Sean Chambers. Hubert was bending strings before anyone!”

From swampy blues grit to explosive rock-fueled solos, Live From Daryl’s House Club is the latest testament to Chambers’ staying power. It’s a snapshot of a musician at the top of his game, keeping the blues alive with every electrifying note.
