Thundermother deliver hard rock fire on Dirty & Divine, with big riffs and bigger hooks that’ll restore your faith in the idea that rock will never die.
Rock isn’t dead, it’s just been waiting for Thundermother to give birth to a new record to bring it back to life. Nearly two years after Black & Gold, the Swedish powerhouse returns with Dirty & Divine, a no-holds-barred, high-voltage blast of hard rock fury. Armed with a fresh lineup and a hunger to take their music to every level available, Thundermother are ready to take over.
From the first note, Dirty & Divine delivers exactly what the title promises: down and dirty riffs, divine chant-inducing choruses, and an honest energy that doesn’t let up. The ten songs pack a real punch, channeling the raw, electrifying spirit found in of all our rock ‘n’ roll idols. It’s loud, it’s brash, and it’s unapologetically fun.
Thundermother live and breathe rock ‘n’ roll, their relentless touring schedule proves it. With over 2,000 shows under their belts, they’ve shared stages with heroes like Scorpions and KISS, rocked the KISS Kruise, and gave the guys all they could handle at Wacken Open Air. In 2020, they snagged Sweden’s Best Hard Rock Act at the Gaffa Awards, and their last three albums dominated the charts across Europe.
Leading the charge is guitarist and founding member Filippa Nässil, who built Thundermother from the ground up in 2009. What started as a dream in Växjö has evolved into one of the hardest-hitting rock bands in the world. Dirty & Divine is a record and a promise. A promise that no matter how many times rock is declared “dead,” there’ll always be a band like Thundermother looking to prove otherwise. Their motto is simple: “We fight for rock ‘n’ roll.” And with this album, they’re winning.
