Touché Amoré surge forward with their fearless new album Spiral In A Straight Line, with surprising guests like Julien Baker of boygenius and Lou Barlow of Dinosaur Jr.

Touché Amoré are back and taking no prisoners on their first new album in four years, Spiral In A Straight Line. The new record finds the LA-based post-hardcore band taking a big leap forward, harnessing the knowledge and power of producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot, and At The Drive-In) to focus their raw intensity. It also marks their recent signing to Rise Records, bringing a refreshed edge and a new start to their signature sound. The album's first single, “Nobody’s,” lays the foundation for what follows, a visceral barrage drawing on themes of navigating life’s shifting terrains with steadfast determination. Jeremy Bolm, Touché Amoré’s fiery frontman, explains that the song really captures the essence of the record, a story of “forward movement while everything around you becomes destabilized.”

Spiral In A Straight Line also features strange and wonderful collaborations that elevate its intentions, including appearances by Julien Baker of boygenius and indie legend Lou Barlow of Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh fame. Their contributions add some surprises to Touché Amoré’s sound, mixing in moments of introspective indie sensibility with the fierce dynamics that fans have come to know and love.

Reuniting with Ross Robinson, who previously produced their critically acclaimed Lament in 2020, the band found themselves once again digging deep. Lament earned them accolades like Pitchfork’s Best New Album and showcased their ability to channel vulnerability through musical chaos. With Spiral In A Straight Line, the band doubles down on that authenticity, capturing the feeling of being insecure and confused, and confronting the emotional fragments left in life’s wake. Songs like “Hal Ashby” are emblematic of the album’s overarching design, spiraling through the emotional wreckage of words, memories, and pain, all while refusing to not push forward. Touché Amoré don't just want you to hear their struggles, they want you to know you’re probably not alone feeling the same way, it’s the sound of a band with an unbroken spirit that’s not afraid to embrace the chaos to understand it.
