Silver Patron Saints: The Songs of Jesse Malin is a star-studded benefit album to support Malin's recovery after a devastating spinal stroke. Participants include Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, and many more.

Jesse Malin has always been at the heart of New York City’s music scene, in fact Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong once declared, “New York City is the center of the universe, and there is no New York City without Jesse Malin.” Now, after suffering a debilitating spinal stroke last year that left him paralyzed from the waist down, that community he’s long supported is rallying around him with Silver Patron Saints: The Songs Of Jesse Malin with every penny going directly to Malin's Sweet Relief Benefit Fund, aimed at easing the financial burden of his long and challenging recovery journey.

Despite the hardship, Malin's spirit remains unbroken. "As always in my songs, the themes are all there—transcendence, positivity, and global unity through music,” he said. “This is what I love to do, and I’m going to do everything I can to keep doing it.” This tribute and benefit album isn’t just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of a life spent in music, brought to life by some of the biggest names in the industry who have stood by Malin through thick and thin.

Silver Patron Saints is a star-studded collection of artists like Bruce Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, Billie Joe Armstrong, and many others, all putting their unique spin on Malin’s rock & roll songbook. Longtime friend, supporter, and journalist David Fricke calls the album “a dynamite and long-overdue awareness project, non-stop star time in vigorously personal twists on behalf of a great rock & roll songbook.” The album's first single, “Prisoners of Paradise” by Bleachers, is already making waves, with Jack Antonoff’s haunting rendition described by Fricke as a journey “through tunnel-of-love reverb like Suicide's 'Dream Baby Dream' cut after hours at Sun Records in Memphis.”

The mind-boggling list of participants also includes Counting Crows, Dinosaur Jr., Tom Morello, Wayne Kramer, Little Steven, Susannah Hoffs, the Hold Steady, Tommy Stinson, Willie Nile, Elvis Costello, the Wallflowers, Alejandro Escovedo, Rancid, Gogol Bordello, Agnostic Front, Rancid and even more!

The 3LP set is a true testament to the community that the singer and songwriter has helped build throughout his career. Malin, who began his journey as the frontman for the hardcore band Heart Attack before rising to prominence with D Generation, has always believed in the transformative power of music. Now, that belief is being echoed by the very artists he’s inspired over the years.

Even as he faces the grueling road of physical therapy and stem-cell treatments, Malin remains committed to his art and his fans. “There’s a feeling of liberation that comes with this, but I don’t want to keep repeating myself either,” he says. “My whole process—since I was 13—is to progress, evolve, and challenge myself on each record. I really hope people in all parts of the world can relate to these songs, just the spectrum of emotions, overcoming by celebrating life through music and art.”

Jesse Malin has always been about more than just music; he's about resilience, hope, and the unbreakable human spirit. And with Silver Patron Saints: The Songs Of Jesse Malin, those themes resonate louder than ever, proving that even in the face of adversity, the music doesn’t stop—it transcends.
